RF Comm Engineer

Relative Dynamics Inc. is seeking an experienced RF Comm Engineer to provide systems engineering and integration expertise for satellite communication systems. This position is located in Houston, Texas.

Job Responsibilities (What You'll Do):

  • Develop, analyze, and assess Satellite Communication and Tracking (C&T) system architectures
  • Integrating C&T systems with Command and Data Handling (C&DH) subsystems and Spaceflight Software
  • Developing C&T verification products, such as detailed verification objectives, test plans, and analysis plans
  • Participate in refining the NASA Gateway Program C&T end-to-end data flow architecture.
  • Support the C&T ConOps refinement.
  • Support engineering design reviews.
  • Support NASA Gateway Program’s integrated analysis cycles by defining analysis objectives, reviewing analysis products, and developing program summary briefings.
  • Lead integration meetings with C&DH and flight software to resolve how data is structured and put into the RF system.
  • Coordinate NASA HALO Lunar Communication System (HLCS) data flow and interfaces.
  • Refine interface control documents.
  • Develop verification objectives and requirements in support of Gateway communications, Lunar Surface communications, Extra Vehicular Activities (EVA) communications, Human Lander communications (as examples) and communication links between these systems and the ground network.
  • Participate in Systems Integration Forum.
  • Participate in Gateway Fault Management Working Group.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of relevant satellite communications experience is required, but more than 15+ years is preferred.
  • MS degree preferred.
